Brief Bio of Alderman Adam Jankowski

My neighbors in District 6,

I am Adam Jankowski, your Alderman for District 6. I was appointed to this position last July by the Common Council after the passing of Alderman Brian White.  The loss of Alderman White was a surprise to our district. My immediate thought was “Who is going to represent District 6?” Calling City Hall, I was informed of the opportunity to put forth my name and be considered to fill the remaining term. That night after being interviewed by the Common Council, as 1 of 2 candidates (the other was Marga Krumins), I was selected to fill the position.

It is now nine months later, and I am seeking to maintain this position that was appointed to me by the Mayor and the Common Council.

Who am I?
 I am a 32-year-old family man with conservative values.  I have been married to my wife Amanda for over 7 years, and we have a set of 5-year-old twins, a boy and a girl.  I bought my house in 2011, and we are very pleased to have chosen Waukesha as a place to raise our children.

I am an Army Veteran, stationed at Fort Bragg, NC with the 18^th Airborne Corps. I was deployed to Iraq in 2008 for 13 months. There I served with honor and distinction, being one of three soldiers in my entire battalion (700+ personnel) to be awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal.

I currently work full-time as a PC technician, having learned this skill set while in the Army.  I am lucky to have a job I love and can support my family at the same time.

I am also a full-time college student, attending Grantham University, online, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems.

I am a hard working man providing for his family. I apply the same work ethic and strong conservative values to the role as Alderman as I do to my job.   I will work diligently to provide you, the residents of District 6, of Waukesha, with the best services that the city can provide.
