The Carroll University Women’s Ensemble will perform an intimate concert on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 4 p.m. in the Humphrey Memorial Chapel, 238 N East Ave., Waukesha. This event is free and open to the public.

The performance will feature music from female composers such as Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Joan Szymko and Gwyneth Walker, among others, along the theme, “Ain’t I a Woman?”

The Women’s Ensemble is directed by Kari Doepke, who continues the choir’s goal of providing women with the opportunity to develop their voices in a safe and creative environment centered on the study, preparation and performance of quality choral literature in great variety. This is the final performance of the 2012-2013 year for the ensemble.
