If you only knew...

With the recent news of the mother that is being tried for abusing her child here in the area everyone is all worked up about it. Well, it makes me furious just like everyone else.

You know what bothers me? This case is getting all of the press. So, this child is the one that everyone says they want to go out and adopt. There are thousands like this child out there people. They do not report it every single time as so many times it goes unreported, the bureau hides it, etc.

I have friends that foster and/or adopted from the foster care system that had cases where the children's pelvic bones were broken as infants due to the parent getting joy out of hurting them, stepping on their private parts (yes...I just said that. It happens), being peed on by their parents, spit on, skulls broken, burnt. You name it....it has happened.

So, please do get mad. Get really mad. Do something about it. Stand up against child abuse. Stop turning your head to things that just do not seem right.

My child was abused. However, he was not removed for abuse as there was not enough proof. He was removed for neglect.
