Can-Do Cadets Help Hebron House

40 cadets from St. John's Military Academy offered to help spruce up the three Hebron House of Hospitality shelters.

WAUKESHA, WI — Painting, yard work and general spring cleaning can be an overwhelming task for an organization that provides housing for hundreds of homeless individuals each year.

So when 40 cadets from St. John’s Military Academy offered to help spruce up the three Hebron House of Hospitality shelters, it was a welcomed gesture to Hebron House staff.

Hebron House Executive Director, Kris Androsky stated, “Community partnerships like this are a powerful example of how together, remarkable tasks can be achieved! This kind of work requires many hands and a lot of support.”

That support came from generous donations from Meijer Food Store in Waukesha who provided all of the painting supplies and tools needed to accomplish the project. Additional paint was donated by Sherwin Williams and Elliott’s Ace Hardware. Rakes and other lawn care items were borrowed from Unity Lutheran Church.
