Carroll University hosts Bryon’s Run to Cure Paralysis

A 5K run/walk/roll to benefit the Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation will be hosted by Carroll University on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013. This is the fourth annual event to help raise money and awareness for individuals with paralysis.

For the past 11 years, in collaboration with community partners in Waukesha County and southeastern Wisconsin, Carroll University’s health sciences students and faculty have provided wellness activities across the lifespan for individuals experiencing chronic disease and disability. Bryon Riesch, as well as many other individuals, have directly benefited from this service.

Race registration begins at 8 a.m. at Carroll's Schneider Stadium, 240 N. Barstow St. Students will lead pre-race stretching at 8:30 a.m. The run/walk/roll begins at 9 a.m. and the course will be on the streets surrounding Carroll’s campus. The event will be held rain or shine; no refunds. Refreshments will be provided for all participants at the end of the race, and a raffle for door prizes will be held.
