Child, 3, Ejected From Car In Waukesha Crash: Report

Police said that a crash in front of the Maple Village Apartments involved a 3-year-old who unbuckled, only to be thrown from the car.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Police in Waukesha say that a three-year-old child was ejected from a vehicle in a two-car accident on Nov. 16 after the child reportedly unbuckled just before the accident.

According to police reports, officers responded to the intersection of Maple Ave. and Arlington St. just after 7:35 a.m. on Nov. 16 on a report of a traffic accident in front of the Maple Village apartments.

Police said that just before the crash, the child unbuckled the seat belt and was subsequently ejected from the car at the time of the impact.

Miraculously, police said the child was transported to Children's Hospital with only minor and non-life-threatening injuries.
