Citizen Rescues 3-Year-Old Boy Looking For Dad

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to the 1000 block of E. Broadway just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday night on a report that a concerned citizen found a three-year-old child running down the road on the sidewalk with no adults around.

The three year old was reportedly scared, and the citizen stayed with him until police arrived.
Waukesha police managed to take in the three year old into a squad car for safety and to figure out where the boy lived.

By 8 p.m. police learned that the child's dad went on a bike ride without him. The boy left the house in order to find his dad, sneaking out of the back door. He was returned to his parents, safe and sound.
