Council To Consider Flood Relief At Key Waukesha Intersections

Several intersections and backyards stand to benefit from storm sewer improvements in Waukesha.

WAUKESHA, WI — On Tuesday, the Waukesha City Council will review and consider approval for plans to help alleviate flooding in the city.

According to meeting documents, the purpose of proposed Waukesha storm sewer improvements is to help alleviate flooding at the intersection of S. Washington Ave. and Lawndale, the intersection of Lawndale and Hine Ave., through the back yards of residences down to Hine Ave., and along Millwood Lane and American Way to the outfall in Woodfield Park.

The sewer is being designed to coordinate construction with other projects in the area.

The council has been recommended to approve Donohue & Associates, Inc. for the Engineering Services for the Analysis and Design of Storm Sewer and Flood Mitigation at approximately $88,000.
