Delafield Student Could Win 'Google Doodle' Contest
Ella Hannes, a 13-year-old seventh grader from Kettle Moraine Middle School is a finalist to win a $30K scholarship and $50K for her school.
WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A student in Delafield, Wisconsin could soon have her art on the Google homepage for hundreds of millions to see. Google is announcing the 53 State and Territory winners in its 11th annual Doodle for Google competition, a contest open to K-12 students across the United States to redesign the Google logo inspired by the theme “When I grow up, I hope...”
Ella Hannes, a 13-year-old seventh grader from Kettle Moraine Middle School in Dousman, is one of the 53 State and Territory Winners with her doodle, “We All Fit.” Ella’s doodle was selected from thousands of entries received this year.
"When I grow up I want everyone to feel like they belong," she said. "So many people try to fit in to what is cool or popular but I want them to find a place where they can be themselves."

Everyone in the U.S. will be able to vote for their favorite doodle from the 53 State and Territory Winners. Voting will be open from June 3 to June 7.
To Vote for Ella's Google Doodle, visit the Google Doodle Contest Site. Keep in mind, the voting will only be open during the aforementioned June dates.

Google will announce five National Finalists later in June, one of which will have their Doodle featured on the Google homepage for a day.
The National Winner will take home a $30,000 college scholarship and his or her school will receive a $50,000 tech package towards the establishment or improvement of a computer lab or technology program.
