Demolition To Begin For New Waukesha Courthouse Project
Waukesha County leaders will kick off the Waukesha County Courthouse Project by beginning demolition of the intake court building.

WAUKESHA, WI -- After months of preparations, demolition will begin to make way for a new 62,000 square-foot courthouse project.
County officials say the new project - a four-story tower, will cost about $38.5 million. The new tower will include better security features, and eight new courtrooms.
Waukesha County leaders will kick off the Waukesha County Courthouse Project by beginning demolition of the intake court building, which will serve as the construction site of a new Secure Courtroom Tower.

The Waukesha County budget passed last November funds phase one of the Waukesha County Courthouse project, which will break ground on construction of a new, secure courtroom facility next week.
County officials, including Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow, Circuit Court Judge Jennifer Dorow and Waukesha County Board Chair Paul Decker are all expected to speak starting Monday at 10:30 a.m. near the Waukesha County Administrative Center's Loading Dock at 515 W. Moreland Blvd.

Demolition of the old intake building will immediately begin following the press conference.
