Waukesha police stepped in after a reported fight and road rage incident between multiple parties Sunday; A storefront window was smashed.

Waukesha police responded to a criminal damage to property call early Sunday morning at Meli, a local restaurant at 294 W. Main St. on a report that an unknowns suspect smashed the front window of the business.
According to police, the call came in just after 3 a.m. Staff reviewed surveillance footage and determined that a man wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans is a likely suspect.

Waukesha police advised a group of quarreling Waukesha residents after they responded to a police call near the intersection of W. Sunset Drive and West Ave.
According to the report, a caller was driving on Sunset when the drivers of two trucks boxed her in, hit her car, threw objects at her and started chasing her with a baseball bat.

When police investigated the woman's claim further, they learned that the caller and the driver of one of the trucks got into an altercation in the Waukesha South Parking lot with the caller and her friends.
The report stated that the caller and the other drivers engaged in back-and-forth road rage activities with each other, but that at no point was any baseball bat brought out.
Police determined that all parties were at fault and were unable to determine who actually initiated the confrontation.
Police spoke with parents of the parties involved and stated they would have zero tolerance for any future similar behavior and that citations and arrests would follow.
