Distressed Man Gets Treatment After Initial Report Of Gun: Police

Officers were able to safely get a distressed medical attention on the 300 block of Mountain Ave. after an initial report that he had a gun.

WAUKESHA, WI — A suicidal man received emergency medical attention late Wednesday evening after an initial report indicated that he may have had a loaded .45 caliber firearm in his apartment.

Waukesha police responded to an apartment on the 300 block of Mountain Ave. just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 6 on a report of a man who was suicidal.

According to reports, a 911 caller told authorities that a man in the apartment had a loaded .45 caliber firearm in the apartment and that he was going to kill himself.

Waukesha police told Patch.com that officers were able to locate the distressed man, and determined that he was experiencing a medical issue. Officers were able to safely get him medical attention.

Waukesha police also told Patch.com that no weapons were located during the incident, and no citations were issued or arrests made.
