Dog Bites Waukesha Woman In Her Sleep: Report
HAWS was called to the scene after authorities say the dog was acting aggressively at the time of the police call.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to a home on the 1500 block of David Ct. just before 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 22 on a report of a dog bite.
According to the person who called police mentioned in the police reports, a 58-year-old woman was bitten by a rescued lab retriever, and that dog had bitten part of her thumb off.
According to reports, the woman she was watching the dog for her son and daughter-in-law when the dog reportedly bit her while she was sleeping.

When police responded to the scene, officers went into the residence and determined that the dog was acting aggressively in their presence, reports said.
Police said the woman was transported to the hospital, and that HAWS took custody of the dog.
