Downtown Dog Spa Coming To Waukesha

The Downtown Dog Spa will use all hypoallergenic, organic and vegan shampoos and products.

WAUKESHA, WI — A new dog grooming service is opening in Downtown Waukesha.

The shop is called Downtown Dog Spa, and manager Erica Aungst has been grooming professionally for more than 22 years. Her licensed, experienced staff is also canine CPR trained.

Aungst told Patch that the Downtown Dog Spa will pride itself on creating a safe and comfortable environment for pets to be groomed. Their goal is to provide individual, personalized care from the moment customers arrive to the time they leave, because pets behave differently when they are calm and comfortable.

Aungst said their spa atmosphere will allow pets to feel at peace and actually enjoy their grooming time. "Instead of focusing on just 'getting the dog done,' we are focusing on the care of each pet and making sure your pets receive a quality groom each and every time. Because we must maintain a calm, soothing environment, we are unable to take dogs showing aggression, or excessive barkers," she told Patch.

The Downtown Dog Spa will use all hypoallergenic, organic and vegan shampoos and products. The groomer will consult with customers on their pets' tailored needs, resulting in a positive beneficial spa experience., Aungst said.
