Driver At Large After Destructive Foray Through Downtown: Report

Police said the driver of the vehicle managed to flee the scene of the crash Sunday in Downtown Waukesha.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha say they're looking for the driver of a blue pickup truck that caused mayhem in Downtown Waukesha over the weekend.

According to police reports, officers responded to the area just after 5:30 p.m. on April 7 on a report of an accident with injuries.

Reports indicated that the driver of a blue pickup truck had been driving east on Main St. partially on the sidewalk, and had struck multiple signs and cars along the way. A tree was knocked over in front of the Wisconsin House.

Police did say a 21-year-old Watertown resident, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for having two open arrest warrants following a crash on the 400 block of W. Main Street.
