Drunk Driver Hit Tree, Fled Scene Prior To Arrest: Report
Police say they responded to Swartz Drive on a report that a woman crashed her vehicle into a tree, and was seen running from the scene.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police were dispatched to the intersection of Swartz Drive and S. Grandview Blvd. just before 9 p.m. on May 1 on a report of a one-car accident in which the driver of the vehicle struck a tree and was seen running from the scene.
According to police reports, the woman, later identified as Miranda L. Vanzeeland, ran into a home on the 1900 block of Swartz Drive.
Police told Waukesha Patch that Vanzeeland was administered standard field sobriety tests, and was later determined to have driven while under the influence of intoxicants.

Police said Vanzeeland was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for processing. After processing, she was transported to the Waukesha County Jail.
She was cited for operating while under the influence - second offense, a probation violation, and driving with a revoked license.
