WAUKESHA, WI — Authorities in Waukesha say a 19-year-old woman is facing charges after she drove drunk, hit another woman's walker, and plunged her own car into the Fox River.

Waukesha police told Patch that officers originally responded to a report of a traffic accident just before midnight on July 8 in which the driver of a white Subaru crashed into a light pole in front of Discount Liquor.

Police said the woman continued driving, reaching the 100 block of Corrina. Police said a woman with a walker was sitting on a bench in front of a property on that block, and that the driver collided with the walker, resulting in minor injuries to the woman to whom it belonged.
