Drunk Driver Leads Police On Slow Chase: Report

Police said that the officer engaged in a slow pursuit that lasted four-tenths of a mile and ended in the Dominos parking lot.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to the intersection of NW Barstow St. and Bank St. just before 8 p.m. on May 28 on a report of a potentially drunk driver behind the wheel.

Waukesha police told Patch that an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle registered to Edwin Troche. According to police, Troche did not stop when police attempted to pull him over.

Police said that the officer engaged in a slow pursuit that lasted four-tenths of a mile and ended in the Dominos parking lot on the 300 block of E. North St.

According to police, the responding officer arrested Troche for two counts of Bail Jumping, Operating While Under the Influence Resisting/Failing to Stop/Fleeing, Impeding Traffic by Slow Speed, and Improper Left Turn.

Police told Patch that Troche was transported to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital for processing. He was later transported to the Waukesha Police Department for booking.
