Drunk Waukesha Driver Shears Off Telephone Pole

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police were dispatched to the intersection of Cook St. and N. Barstow St. just after 3 a.m. Saturday on a report of a property damage vehicle accident.

According to reports, the driver of a black Kia Sorento collided with a wood telephone pole, with the result leaving the telephone pole sheared off at the base, and the remainder of the pole hanging by wires.

The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of operating while intoxicated.
