Beginning oil for beginning students and intermediate level students who have some background in oil, acrylic or watercolor. Course will cover how to get started, composition, color theory, studies in still life, landscape and painting from photographs.
Supplies:
Table top or portable easel
Oils: Ultramarine blue, Cadmiun Red Medium, Green Earth Hue, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Titaniam White
Artist grade odorless turpentine or mineral spirits
A 'Medium' such as stand oil mixed 50/50 with mineral spirits
Paper towel or rags
Palette
Minimum of 3 brushes - varying sizes
Prepared canvas or canvas board
