May 1st is the deadline to order 2-inch pots of plants that are uniquely beneficial to plant in your home rain garden. With the flooding we've experienced in southeast Wisconsin the last few years, it's more important than ever for each of us to do what we can to help. In the case of rain gardens, you'll be helping yourself to some beautiful plantings, while at the same time helping to prevent excess runoff and providing food and shelter for butterflies, song birds and other animals. The native plants offered by the County are made available through the Graham-Martin Foundation Program. Please see the website for much more information.
