This is not only a day of horse racing, but also a day of food and festivities. Throw your own "Derby" party using these traditional recipes that are sure to please… sample Ham with Red-eye gravy, Burgoo (hearty stew traditionally served at the derby) and garlic cheese grits, and for dessert…Bourbon Balls and thoroughbred Pie. Also provided...a recipe for a fabulous Mint Julep!
