FBI Arrests Social Worker On Child Porn Suspicion: Report

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Federal officials say they have arrested a social worker on suspicion of child pornography, and that the social worker was assigned to work with troubled adolescents and their families.

The FBI is reporting that Bernard J. Trokan, 53, of Merton, was arrested Thursday afternoon for possession of child pornography. Trokan was arrested and taken into custody by the FBI Milwaukee Child Exploitation Task Force in collaboration with Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, officials said.

He is awaiting formal charging in federal court. Records indicate Trokan has not previously been charged with any crime. Trokan is scheduled to appear in federal court in Milwaukee on May 30.

Authorities say Trokan is a Social Worker with Waukesha County Department of Health and Human Services, assigned to the adolescent and family services division.
