Fire Causes $30,000 In Damage On Grandview
The fire department made entry through a back patio finding a fire in the kitchen area.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha responded to a report of a structure fire on the 300 block of N. Grandview Blvd.
Waukesha police told Patch that they and the Waukesha Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 4:20 a.m. Grandview Blvd. First-arriving units found smoke coming from the back of the house.
The residence is a two family, two-story side-by-side structure addressed 315 and 313 N. Grandview Blvd. Officials said that unit 313 was uninvolved.

Police reported that all occupants from both units were evacuated prior to arrival. The fire department made entry through a back patio finding a fire in the kitchen area.
Police told Patch that the fire was extinguished and contained to the kitchen. There was moderate fire and smoke damage on the first floor, minor water damage on the first floor. A joint investigation by the fire and police departments determined the cause to be unattended cooking on the stove.

Authorities estimated the damage at about $30,000. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was contacted and responded to the scene to provide relief efforts.
