Fire Causes $75K Damage on Cliff-Alex Ct.; Family of 3 Dislocated
A fire that started on a kitchen stove top in an apartment on Cliff-Alex Ct. has displaced a family of three and caused $75,000 in damage.

WAUKESHA, WI — A Thursday fire that started on a kitchen stove top in an apartment on Cliff-Alex Ct. has displaced a family of three and caused $75,000 in damage to the building.
The Waukesha Fire Department responded to a report of a possible structure fire just after 4 p.m. Thursday at 2016 Cliff-Alex Ct.
First-arriving units found smoke emitting from the front of the two-story, four-unit residential building with all units connected side-by-side.

All occupants of the building had evacuated prior to the fire department's arrival, and fire crews were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire in the kitchen area.
Fire damage was reported as extensive in the kitchen with heavy smoke damage to the rest of the unit.
We Energies secured the building's utilities and the Red Cross responded with alternate housing for three occupants of Unit D.

The remaining three units were undamaged from the fire.
The fire was determined to be accidental in nature, and one firefighter was injured after receiving a small puncture wound to the hand from a shard of glass.
