Fire Destroys Ethan Allen School Campus Building: Report

Authorities say a neighbor called 911 Wednesday afternoon after a building on the Ethan Allen School campus caught fire.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Authorities in Waukesha County are trying to determine the cause of a fire at the Ethan Allen School that happened Wednesday afternoon. The fire was reported to the authorities by a neighbor who called 911, officials said.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office, officers and firefighters responded to the school at W323S1050 Boys School Road in the Town of Delafield just after 4 p.m. Wednesday on a report that the school's maintenance shed caught fire.

Authorities said that nobody appeared to be on the property at the time of the call and the fire caused substantial property damage to an approximately 100-foot by 50-foot steel maintenance building.

The initial cause of the fire is unknown at this time, although the nature of the fire is not believed to be suspicious. No additional information is available at this time, officials said.

Additional assistance was received from the Wales Genesee Fire Department, Stone Bank Fire Department and Lake Country Fire and Rescue, as well as Western Lakes Fire District.
