Authorities say Nimtz was called to the area for a domestic dispute when he crashed with a Toyota Tundra pickup truck. A second deputy in another vehicle called for help. Rescue teams rushed Nimtz and the pickup truck driver to a hospital. Nimtz died of his injuries and the second driver was hospitalized in stable condition, authorities say.
