Footprints In Snow Led Waukesha Police To Car Burglars: Report
Police said that the tracks led them to a 20-year-old and a 21-year-old from Waukesha.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Police in Waukesha say they've arrested two people in connection with multiple car break-ins this week.
According to police reports, officers responded to the intersection of Garfield Ave. and W. Wabash Ave. just after 5 a.m. on Nov. 20 on a report of suspicious people in the area.
According to reports, an officer on patrol responded, and saw footprints in the snow that led the officer to believe that one or more suspects may have broken into a number of vehicles in the area.

Over the next hour, police followed the footprints and learned more about the car burglary case that was unfolding before them.
Police said that the tracks led them to a 20-year-old and a 21-year-old from Waukesha, who were arrested for entry to locked vehicles.

Police said the two people who were arrested admitted to stealing from two separate vehicles which were recovered in the area of their residences.
Police said this case is still under investigation, and that the two people arrested in this case are awaiting official charging by the Waukesha County District Attorney's office.
