Frugal Family: Presidents' Day Sales and Italian Dinners

1. Used book sale

Deal: Take home a great read to keep forever or to pass on to your children at a significantly lower price than a bookstore. Prices vary at the sale, which is held at the Waukesha Public Library

2.Pasta dinner

Deal: Aldi has different sales on pastas, including a 19-ounce package of tortellini for $2.49. Aldi also is having a sale on all different kinds of Italian meal items, including canned mushrooms and sauces.  Looking for dessert? Finish off the meal with tiramisu, which is selling for $4.99.

3. Extra space for your camera

Deal: 4GB SDHC memory card is selling at Walmart for $6. It normally is $8, but with the sale of the memory card comes 25 free prints from Walmart’s one-hour photo department. The photos must be submitted through the Walmart website.

Good through: Free prints expire March 31.

4. Presidents' Day Sale at Walgreens

Deal: In addition to sales throughout the pharmacy, Walgreens is holding a $10 off $60 sale.  Enter the coupon code president10 to take advantage of the offer.

5. Kohl’s Presidents' Day Sale

Deal: Get discounted prices throughout the store and then get $10 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 you spend. Those with Kohl’s charge cards can save an additional 10 percent to 30 percent off their purchases.
