Gascoigne Drive Gun Threat Was 'Made Up': Police

WAUKESHA, WI — A homeowner and a group of youth were all advised by police after officers say the homeowner made up a story about a person with a gun during a dispute on Gascoigne Drive.

According to Waukesha Police call logs, officers responded to a resident on the 300 block of Gascoigne Drive just before 9 p.m. on July 11.

Waukesha police told Patch that a person called police, saying that they and a group of youth became embroiled in a dispute, and that during the altercation, a person displayed a gun while standing in their driveway.

According to police logs, several officers were dispatched to the scene after the person who called police said the person with the gun left the scene in a car.

Police told Patch that officers caught up with the suspected gun-handler, only to learn no gun was ever displayed. When police followed-up with the homeowner, they learned that they made up the story about the gun.

Police said that the homeowner and the youth were all advised by police on their actions that evening, and no arrests were made.
