Gold's Gym In Waukesha Closing
After nine years, the Waukesha Gold's Gym is closing its doors - but not before the owners tried a variety of ways to keep it open.

WAUKESHA, WI — The Gold’s Gym at 831 W Moreland Blvd. is closing after attempts by the owners to keep the business open.
According to a report from GM Today.com, Gold's Gym - Waukesha will close its doors Sunday evening after more than nine years at the location. A letter that was posted on the front door said that they were closing due to "unsuccessful negotiations regarding its rent structure."
The Journal Sentinel also reported the sudden announcement that Gold's Gym was closing, and added a few more details as to why they might be shutting their doors. "The owners acknowledged the abruptness of the announcement — coming just six days ahead of the closing date," the Journal Sentinel reported. "The reason, they stated, was last-ditch efforts to find another ownership group or major club chain to take over the location, or to find other alternatives for members, all of which proved unsuccessful."
