Group Home Resident Arrested, Not Allowed To Return

Police stated that the resident tried to lock one of the clients in the bathroom, and was later reported trying to break down the door.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to a group home on the 700 block of Arcadian Ave. on a report of disorderly conduct just after 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 29.

According to reports, officers were called to a group home after a 29-year-old resident attempted to hit other clients and staff members. The report stated that the resident tried to lock one of the clients in the bathroom, and was later reported trying to break down the door with his arms and feet.

Waukesha police told Patch that the man, Zachary T. Sherman, was taken to the ground and placed under arrest on suspicion of battery and disorderly conduct. Police told Patch that Sherman would not be allowed to return to the group home after his release from jail.

Reports indicated that a 58-year-old man was treated by paramedics on-scene for a head laceration.
