Halloween Display Shows NFL Player Skeletons Hanging By Nooses in Waukesha
A Waukesha County man's Packer Halloween display is attracting attention for showing NFL player skeletons hanging by their necks and feet.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — One Green Bay Packers fan is taking criticism for his Halloween display — including whether it may be racist — which shows NFL player skeletons hanging by nooses. The fan is insisting his display is just about football, and is being taken the wrong way.
Waukesha County resident Mike Grass — an avowed Green Bay Packer fan — decked out his home in a pirate-and-skeleton-themed Halloween display.
Under a "Titletown USA" Packers banner, Grass' display has three pirate-themed skeletons perched on his second-story balcony.

According to a CBS 58 report, Grass said he wanted to do something to celebrate the Packers' season and Halloween in one grand gesture.
At least one post on social media has asked the question whether Grass' display was inappropriate, racist or whether it was all in good fun.
"I think in today's society, everybody takes stuff the wrong way," he told CBS 58. "It's easy to do. No, it wasn't mean ill will towards anybody, it was just about the Packers season."
The Packers started out the 2017 NFL season strong with a 4-1 record. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone in a game against the Minnesota Vikings — at the hands of Minnesota linebacker Anthony Barr, one of the skeletons strung up in front of Grass' residence — and has been lost for the season. The Packers have lost two straight games.
