Hawthorne School Put On Lockout Over Incident: Report
Police say an 89-year-old man asked a lawn care worker to shoot him with a gun that he owned.

WAUKESHA, WI — According to Waukesha police reports, officers responded to the home of an 89-year-old man on the 800 block of N. Moreland Blvd. just before noon on Tuesday on a report that he made suicidal statements.
Police told Waukesha Patch that a man working for a lawn care business was on the job in the man's front yard on Tuesday. According to reports, the man came out of his house and wanted him to use the .45 caliber gun he owned to shoot him in the head.
According to police reports, nearby Hawthorne school was put on lockout as police set up a perimeter around the elderly man's house.

According to police, the 89-year-old man was evaluated for suicidal statements he made to the lawn care worker. Police told Patch that he voluntarily turned over his guns to authorities and was evaluated, but not taken into custody.
The school was put on lockout for just over 20 minutes.
