Hazardous Materials Collection Announced
Got yucky, dangerous stuff in your house that the trash collector won't take? Bring it here:
WAUKESHA — The Village of Mukwonago will be hosting a special one-day collection of household hazardous waste open to any Waukesha County resident on Saturday, May 21st from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The collection will take place at the Village Public Works Garage at 630 Hwy NN.
Old, unusable chemicals, pesticides, wood preservatives, solvents, oil-based paints, and mercury-containing products will be accepted. Latex paint, non-hazardous cleaning materials, motor oil and oil filters will not be accepted. Check with your municipal drop off site for motor oil and oil filter recycling.
Waukesha County’s four permanent collection sites located in Muskego, Waukesha, Menomonee Falls, and Franklin will observe the Memorial Day holiday with closings Saturday, May 28 through Monday, May 30.
