Judith Lane Drunk Driver Hits Tree, Is Arrested: Police

WAUKESHA, WI — A drunk driver hit a tree, and got stuck in a ditch, before he was arrested by police, according to reports.

Waukesha police responded to the 2400 block of Judith Lane just before midnight on Wednesday on a report of a reckless vehicle.

According to police reports, a man in an older-model vehicle was at the far end of Emslie Drive and was seen by a witness after he reportedly struck a tree and was spinning his wheels trying to get his vehicle out of a ditch.

Waukesha police told Patch that the driver of the vehicle, Lee G. Jonas, was called in by a resident. Jonas was driving around the neighborhood with vehicle damage and a broken-out window.

According to police, Jonas was located by officers driving through the neighborhood, and he was eventually arrested for OWI-1st offense.
