A lost cat, a ripped shirt and a report of a fight warranted a police call on Macarthur Road Saturday morning.

WAUKESHA, WI — A lost cat, a ripped shirt and a report of a fight warranted a police call on Macarthur Road Saturday morning.

Waukesha police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Macarthur Road just after 4 a.m. Saturday on a report of a fight.

Police were called, in which the caller reported that two men and a woman were involved in a dispute and it sounded physical.

Police arrived several minutes later. Upon arrival, it did not appear to officers that anything was active at that time, although they did not that the woman's shirt was ripped.

When police made contact with both the men and the woman, they told police they had a verbal argument only, and that nothing was physical.

They stated that they were having a bad day, and that the woman had lost her cat, prompting the argument.

Police advised them on their behavior and were moved along.
