Waukesha Police responded to the Taco Bell on W. Sunset Drive just after 11 p.m. Friday on a report that a driver crashed into the building, and then took off.

According to reports, no one at the Taco Bell actually saw the vehicle strike anything, they just heard a loud "bang" and said the building shook.

Upon reviewing the video footage, police observed that the vehicle never actually hit anything, but it was determined that the exhaust on the vehicle was extremely loud, and backfired, causing the disturbance.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle and determined that there was no damage to the vehicle.
