Man Arrested After Barricading Self In Home: Report

WAUKESHA, WI -- Waukesha police responded to the 300 block of Arlington St. just before 1 p.m. on Sep. 9 on a report of a domestic disturbance.

According to police reports, a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. He is currently being held in the Waukesha County jail.

Reports indicated that a woman in the house called authorities after the man reportedly struck her with a stick and began breaking objects in the house. Reports indicated that others in the house sought refuge with a neighbor during the crisis situation.

Reports indicated that police blocked off Arlington and Grand, as authorities issued commands for the man to safely exit the house.

According to reports, by 1:45 p.m., the man was in custody, was transported to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital and was subsequently admitted for treatment.
