Authorities Name Man Who Died While Trying to Cross I-94
Authorities have released the name of the man who died while trying to cross I-94 in Waukesha County.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Authorities in Waukesha County have identified the man who died Tuesday night, Nov. 7 after they say he tried crossing I-94 for an unspecified reason.
On Wednesday, the Waukesha County Sheriff's office identified the male passenger that died as a result of being struck by a vehicle on I-94 as Anthony Valenza, a 31-year-old man from Fitchburg, Wis.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's office, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 8:51 p.m., the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office along with City of Pewaukee Fire Department responded to a report of an accident between a pedestrian and a vehicle on I-94 westbound in the area of Pewaukee Road.
Sheriff's officials say a male passenger in a disabled vehicle, which was positioned on the median side of I-94, attempted to walk across I-94 and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The male passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the
scene, according to sheriff's officials.
This accident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.
