Man Laying in Road on Hartwell; ​Vehicle Broken Into on N. West Ave.

A passerby found a stumbling man who eventually ended up in the middle of the road; A car was broken into on Hartwell.

Waukesha police responded to the 500 block of N. West Ave. at just after 4:30 a.m. Friday morning on a report of a vehicle break-in.

According to the police report, an unknown suspect entered a red Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the back of the building and stole a wallet in addition to other items.

Waukesha police responded to the area of N. Hartwell Ave. and Linden St. just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday on a report of a man down.

According to police reports, a person called police, stating they saw a suspicious older male wearing jeans and a dark-colored jacket stumbling along Hartwell before laying on the ground at one point.

Police and fire responded to the area, and the man, who had been drinking, was evaluated by rescue personnel before the man left on the bus.
