Man Rams Squad Car, Chased Through Waukesha: Police

A man wanted for colliding with a squad car was arrested after an 11-mile police chase. He was driving with a suspended license.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police arrested a Milwaukee man after police say he led police on a high-speed pursuit following a collision with a New Berlin Police squad.

Waukesha police say they arrested Quillahn A. Shaheer just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3. He has been charged in Waukesha County court with first-degree recklessly endangering safety and eluding an officer.

According to police reports, Waukesha police picked up the police pursuit near Bluemound and Kossow Road early Saturday. Police say Shaheer was wanted in connection with an intentional collision with a New Berlin police squad earlier that night.

Waukesha police told Patch that Shaheer entered the city at a high rate of speed, at times reaching 95 miles per hour. The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, New Berlin Police Department, and numerous other departments joined in the pursuit of Shaheer as he left the city, east onto I-94.

Police said the pursuit ended on S. Moreland Blvd. at Lincoln Ave. in New Berlin, where Shaheer surrendered to a high-risk traffic stop. The total length of the pursuit was 11 miles according to reports.

According to court records, Shaheer was charged less than a week prior to operating a motor vehicle after his license was suspended.
