Man Stole Car, Broke Gas Line As He Fled Police: Report
Waukesha police say that a man wanted for stealing a car fled officers. He was later arrested after he was found at the library.
WAUKESHA, WI -- At just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 2, Waukesha Police responded to assist the Waukesha County Sheriff's office with a vehicle pursuit.
Police told Patch that as the driver of the vehicle fled, he crashed into a gas line in front of a property on the 1100 block of E. Main Street. We Energies responded to the scene of the broken gas line to conduct repair work.
Police told Patch that the suspect fled on foot after crashing, and was initially unable to be located. He was located at the Waukesha Public Library later that day and arrested for the Sheriff's office.
