Man With 'Will Work For Beer' Sign Was Dangerously Drunk: Report

When the man was arrested, a preliminary breath test returned a result of 0.30, which is considered a dangerous level of intoxication.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha arrested a man who was reportedly carrying a sign that read "will work for beer" Monday afternoon.

According to police reports, a park and rec worker contacted police just before 3 p.m. on May 7 on a report that a man was staggering and carrying the sign near W. Moreland Blvd. and E. North St.

Police responded to the area, located the man and identified him as Jeffrey A. Brennan. Police told Waukesha Patch that Brennan showed numerous signs of impairment and was heavily intoxicated.

According to court records, he had an open case and was to maintain absolute sobriety. He was arrested for Bail Jumping, and was transported him to the Waukesha Police Department where he submitted to an Intoximeter Test of 0.30, which is considered a dangerous level of intoxication.

Brennan was transported him to the Waukesha County Jail where he was held on $1,000 bail.
