“The support for my campaign from Sheriff Severson, District Attorney Sue Opper, the Waukesha County
Deputy Sheriff Association and a host of others who value keeping Waukesha County safe speaks to our
working relationship over 16 years,” Lau said in a prepared statement. “During this time, I’m the only candidate in the race for Branch 12 Circuit Court Judge who has presided over cases in Waukesha County courts. I’m grateful for law enforcement’s faith in my service to keeping Waukesha County safe.”

Lau has been a member of the judiciary since her appointment to the position of Court Commissioner in 2001. As a Court Commissioner she presides over court hearings in all 5 court divisions—civil, criminal, family, juvenile and probate.
