Missing Endangered Man Found Deceased

WAUKESHA, WI — Authorities in Waukesha County are reporting that Daniel J. Murphy, who was considered missing and endangered earlier this week, has been found deceased.

"The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office is saddened to inform the community that Daniel J. Murphy was found deceased in the Town of Lisbon," Waukesha County Sheriff's officials said late Tuesday in a statement to Patch. "The Murphy family is very appreciative for all the support and assistance they received from the community during this difficult time."

Murphy, a 46 year old man from the Town of Lisbon, had been last seen by his family at his residence at just after 10 p.m. on June 9. Family said that he left his home during the night on foot, and did not have access to a vehicle or telephone.
