Missing Waukesha Teen Recovered By Police, Citizen Help

WAUKESHA, WI — With the help of a concerned citizen, Waukesha police tracked down a a missing 17-year-old girl on Tuesday evening.

According to Waukesha police, a concerned party called police just after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to report that they located a missing 17-year-old girl, who was reported missing earlier through the police department.

According to police, the tipster told police that the missing teen would be walking into a Walgreens in Waukesha just before 6 p.m., and that police should be on the lookout.

Reports indicated that the teen might run when she sees officers, however police were able to make contact with the teen and take her into custody without incident just before 6 p.m. that evening.
