Waukesha police responded to an apartment on the 400 block of N. Baird St. on a report that kids in the lower unit were taunting a resident in the upper unit.

When police arrived, they learned that the 14-year-old and 12-year-old children were supervising the 8-year-old and 5-year-old children in the apartment because their single mother works a second-shift job to support her family.

Officers waited for the mother to return from work, and according to the report, enlisted the children to help clean the house in the meantime.

Superglue in Car Locks? No Problem!

Waukesha police responded to a criminal damage to property complaint on the 2100 block of Broken Hill Road just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, a suspect attempted to pour superglue into the man's car locks.

The man, however, knew what to do - using nail polish remover to dissolve the glue. The man gave police a likely suspect and their address for follow-up.
