Money Reported Missing From Waukesha KFC: Police

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to the Kentucky Fried Chicken on W. Sunset Drive just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday on a report of a burglary.

According to Waukesha police, a restaurant manager reported that upon arriving for work in the morning, that money was found to be missing from the restaurant's safe. According to reports, $996 was reported missing.

Police told Waukesha Patch that there were no signs of forced entry into the building. Police said there was a separate incident reported in August of 2017 with a similar set of circumstances.

Police said they are working with KFC and following up on leads from both cases. This investigation is still open and active.
