New Details Emerge On Accused Jayme Closs Abductor Jake Patterson
Reports indicate Patterson was discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps, and that his father is deeply apologetic to the Closs family.

BARRON COUNTY, WI -- New details are emerging about Jake Patterson, the 21-year-old Wisconsin man accused in the shooting deaths of Jayme Closs' parents and her subsequent abduction.
Patterson is currently being held in the Polk County Jail on a $5 million cash bond, and is awaiting his preliminary hearing on Feb. 6. He was moved to the Polk County Jail from the Barron County Jail because one of Closs' relatives currently works at the Barron County Jail, according to a CBS report.

A spokesperson with the Marines said it was "indicative of the fact that the character of his service was incongruent with Marine Corps' expectations and standards," according to the report.
According to an ABC report, Patrick Patterson, the father of Jake Patterson, tried reaching out to the Closs family earlier this week.
The report stated that Patrick Patterson attempted to pass a note along to Jayme's family via the Barron County Court system. Patterson, when questioned by a reporter, said, "All I care about right now is Jayme's family."
